Yinka Adegoke is the Editor for Strategic Initiatives at Rest of World, a publication that covers the impact and influence of technology on people, businesses and economies in emerging markets. Previously he helped launch Quartz Africa where he led an editorial team across the continent and launched its Africa Innovators Summit and brand in Nairobi. 


In 2018 Yinka was named as one of the 100 Most Influential Africans by New African magazine, recognizing his impact on African media. Yinka has reported from more than 20 countries across Europe, Africa and the Americas. He was previously deputy editor at Billboard where he ran the business coverage for the world’s leading music magazine brand. Prior to that, he was Reuters’ senior media correspondent covering the global media business where he focused on the digital disruption of the traditional media industry. 


Earlier in his career, Yinka was an editor at New Media Age in London covering the early days of the digital media revolution and a regular writer for The Guardian and The Financial Times. He is also a contributor to TV networks including CNN, CNBC and BBC.
